When not properly installed and permitted, outdoor sinks, showers, and pool drainage can allow rainwater to enter and overload the sewer system. Proper installation helps keep rainwater out of the sewer and helps protect your home from sewer backups.

  • Must be equipped with a cover to prevent rainwater from entering the sewer system.

  • Must be roofed or fully covered by eaves.

  • Shower pans must include a curb, or the surrounding area must be sloped away.

  • RVSD must verify proper coverage. Submit plans for review and comment via email.

  • RVSD reserves the right to approve or deny such proposals.
