Managing Community Infrastructure
RVSD's Infrastructure Asset Management Program has focused since 2013 on restoring structural integrity to the gravity sewer lines, addressing critical pump station and force main improvements, accelerating the pace of lateral replacements, and lowering overall sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) risk. Over the next five years, the program is expected to focus on a programmatic approach to infiltration and inflow (I&I) reduction, special conditions such as landslide and tidally influenced areas and creek crossings, sustaining and improving the current asset condition levels, and continued SSO risk reduction.
