Director Sylla was elected to the District Board in June 2012. She is a graduate of Brown University, with a law degree from UNC Chapel Hill and a master's degree in public health from U.C. Berkeley. Ms. Sylla has devoted her career to implementing nonprofit public health programs that improve health and are also cost-saving. Ms. Sylla has lived in the District for over 25 years.
