Flow-Based Rate Workshop Annoucement
Ratepayers are invited to participate in a Flow-Based Rate Workshop. John Farnkopf, Senior Vice-President of HF&H Consultants, will present the results of a Flow-Based Rate Study and offer recommendations on how a new rate structure might be implemented. Marin IJ Editorial Contains Incorrect Information
The Marin IJ published an editorial on January 3, 2012 that contained incorrect information and implied that the District would bypass (perhaps improperly) the open bid process in making pipe repairs. The District has requested a correction. Press Release. IJ Letter. 
Consolidation Study Seeks Volunteers
The District will employ an outside consultant to facilitate a consolidation study, which will include gathering input from members of the community. Opening of Multi-Use Path Marks Completion of Historic Sewer Project

PG&E to Safety Inspect Sewer Lines
PG&E will use closed-circuit TV to inspect and confirm that its recent gas line replacements in the Ross Valley have not impacted public and private sewer pipes. Press Release

Landslide Causes Sewer Spill in Fairfax
Ross Valley Sanitary District reported a sewer spill today near Valley Road in Fairfax that may have released some 8 to 9,000 gallons of wastewater over the last week. Press Release. 
Ross Valley Sanitary District Settles Larkspur Property Suit
The Board of Directors of the Ross Valley Sanitary District, a 111-year-old sewer agency serving the Ross Valley, announced a settlement today of a lawsuit brought against the district by Campus St. James Larkspur, LLC, a development company that withdrew from a property purchase agreement with the district in early 2010, following initiation of the suit. Major Rain Event Deluges Sewer System and Causes Spill in San Anselmo
Ross Valley Sanitary District experienced an approximately 9,000-gallon sanitary sewer overflow that began at 11:30 a.m. during a major rain event. District crews discovered a manhole overflowing at the intersections of San Anselmo and San Rafael Avenue as well as two adjacent manholes overflowing on San Anselmo Avenue. Press Release.
